The last time we had a gathering with Usec. Robert T. Rivera and her wife Elyza, was during the renewal of their marital vow at Fernbrooks in Alabang. As usual, Usec. Rivera's affair, being apolitical person and a professional talent promoter and media practitioner, was attended by his close friends in the entertainment and the media industry.
Regardless of which administration and political affiliation, past and present Press Secretaries attended the affair. Among them, Press Secretaries Rod Reyes, Ignacio Bunye and Sonny Coloma. Anthony Castillo rendered a song, while his long time friends at Pent House Live rendered dance number. It was a joyful occassion marking another milestone in his life, until Secretary Bunye in his column at Manila Bulletin broke the news: Usec. Robert Courageously Coping with Cancer!
